SNOWPIERCER FEATURETTE (Video) - ScreenSlam sat down with Ed Harris and Tilda Swinton to talk about their upcoming film Snowpiercer. In this featurette, these two actors discuss the politics of the leaders in the front of the train.
Based on a French graphic novel, the sci-fi thriller centers on the passengers of a technologically advanced train who turn out to be the last survivors on Earth when a failed experiment kills everyone else. Being the only ones left, a class system soon develops, resulting in a giant gap between the rich and the poor.
Snowpiercer is directed by Bong Joon-ho and also stars Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Alison Pill, John Hurt, Go Ah-sung, and Ewen Bremner.
“You think he’d be smart enough to maybe construct a system of governance and life within this train that was a little more equitable.” – Ed Harris
“Mason is Wilford’s apparatchik and is one of those politicians – and we know many people like this – who just sort of get drunk on power.” – Tilda Swinton
PLOT: In a future where a failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet, a class system evolves aboard the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine.
